But that was exactly what happened as his heartthrob Yewande Fatoki,a lawyer working at the Ministry of Justice Oyo State played the Jezeebal and stabbed him to death.

Contrary to earlier reports being pushed by the family of Yewande to exonerate their daughter ,CKN News exclusive investigation has revealed how the young man was killed by a blood thirsty woman.

According to friends and family members of the deceased who spoke to CKN news today,France based Oyelowo was introduced to the deceased about three years ago through common family friends.Oyelowo who has a French passport did not get to know his wife well before jumping into marriage with her. After their wedding which was perfected within weeks the young man returned to his base in France while the wife worked in Nigeria.

He has been shuttling between Nigeria and france since then.As it is the usual practise, they had their ups and down but at every given time ,that was resolved by friends and family members. But those who spoke to us said Yewande is a very temperamental woman who brags around.Few days ago after Oyelowo returned to the country,he started having issue with Yewande .Though the main thrust of the matter was not revealed to us,but our investigation revealed that it has to do with allegation of infidelity.

The arguement degenerated into a fistcuff,YewandeT who was battle ready picked up a scissor which she had kept in hiding and stabbed her husband .His cry attracted the attention of neighbours who quickly separated them and they were taken to the hospital where Oyelowo was treated of his wound with his wife.

This they said started with the role played by the family is selling a dummy to the press that Yewande was molested and with a dislocated arm and that she only stabbed the decease in self defence.

They asked if it was in self defence, how come Yewande stabbed him while he was sleeping from the effect of the pain killer drugs he took to lessen the effect of the initial stabbing.

They confined to CKN News that from day one, they never supported Oyelowo’s marriage to Yewande whom they accused of being too violent.Several times according to them, she has threatened to kill the young man but he never took her serious until the inevitable happened few hours ago.

Power generation to increase by 2000mw – Fashola

Babatunde Fashola, Minister of Power, Works and Housing

Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has expressed optimism that given the various plans under taken by the present administration in the sector, power generation would increase with additional 2000MW by the last quarter of 2016.
He stated this at the Ministry’s budget defence before the Senate Committee on Power and Mines adding that a lot have changed in the management of power in the country, in recent times. Distribution of Power is no longer government business, but has been taken over by private Companies. Also government has privatized power generation which has steered towards the full privatization of the sector with transmission aspect being managed by Manitoba International of Canada.
According to the Minister, the 2016 budget focuses more on the transmission, completion of on-going projects, refurbishing power plants and tackling gas supply issues. If all these, are well addressed, the expected projection would boost electricity generation in the country.
The Minister further stated that the Ministry plans to take its role as a Policy maker more seriously while the agencies will be tasked more on implementation and execution of government’s agenda for the sector.
Speaking earlier, Chairman of the Committee, Senator James Manager, charged the Ministry to think out of the box, if it is to achieve its goals of taking Nigeria’s Power Sector to the next level. Further, he stated that Nigerians should reap from the sacrifices incurred in increase in tariff by enjoying uninterrupted power supply.
